Cooking has always been a passion of mine ever since i was little. I remember helping my parents in the kitchen, always begging them to let me cook dinner all on my own. Needless to say they didn't let me then but  now is a completely different story. 

I grew up in a small town with few options to chose from as far as work and professions especially in the culinary field, so I turned to the best choice for me at the time, the military. I joined the navy as a cook, inspired at the aspect of traveling the world and tasting some of the finest cuisines the world has to offer directly from the source and encountering new things that seemed so alien. Little did I know how much i would experience. 

The time spent in the service helped me and the things that I got to see and eat blew my mind, deepening my love and need for culinary knowledge leading me to school to further my understanding of what makes a dish successful. I want more and i cant wait to learn more through the people I've yet to meet. I hear some people say that they settled for this, but not me. I've actively strode for this and will continue to do so for as long as i can because I'm ready to learn and to grow.
