Beer, Bourbon, Bacon and Beyond Dinner in Warrenton, VA: We are collaborating with Heritage Brewing, Catoctin Creek Distilling Company and Whiffletree Farm to bring you a twist on our pairing dinners. Instead of a wine-paired dinner, we will be pairing distilled spirits and craft beer with recipes of all things pork (of course, that means some bacon!) This is a celebration of sustainable, locally-sourced and organic production methods from farms, breweries and distilleries.

Farm-to-Table Solutions
Founder

My passion for local, humane, fair and environmentally-friendly food sprouted when I read Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma. I eventually ventured to local farmers markets and found talking directly to farmers to be very fulfilling. I loved learning how to cook with and dabble in preserving seasonal ingredients.

I discovered the superior taste and quality of these local finds and read everything I could on sustainable farming methods.

A background in fitness/nutrition sales, the restaurant industry and a new interest in ethical foods converged into a healthier relationship with food and discovery of a sense of purpose. 

My hands on experience in farming started as a hobby with a vegetable garden, some backyard layers and a trio of rabbits. Soon after, I traded in my office job to get my hands dirty on local farms. The farmers and my coworkers were a wealth of knowledge and I gained experience working with pastured poultry, goats, dairy cows, hogs, bison and mid-scale organic vegetable production. 

In return for the practical farming experience, I was able to utilize my experience in marketing, community outreach and training in culinary and business in marketing efforts and to increase sales. In early 2015, I founded Farm-to-Table Solutions to help those in the local food economy with marketing, administration and recruiting.

Recently, I joined my husband at The New Bridge in Warrenton, Virginia as Marketing Coordinator, Local-Sourcing & Green Projects.
